This exhibition features collection of art-works from 3 of our collaborative projects along with the general exposition of 15 artists from 15 countries. The opening event will feature the performances of musicians and dancers from different countries as a part of the project “Music and dance”.
About our projects:
NyDanske Ansigter (New Danish Faces) focuses on”multiculturality” of "the new Danes” or namely the newcomers to Denmark from various countries; portrayed by artists with various cultural backgrounds and seen from different aspects thanks to the variety of artistic means. Our goal is to express our and our subjects' perceptions and feelings about Denmark as a new homeland. Through a series of exhibitions, we aim to share the experiences and challenges of integrating into the Danish society. Until now the project has had 2 stages: “NDA: The beginning”, “NDA: The story behind the face”. This exhibition features the selection from both of them.
Christianshavn by Night features the art-works of 2 photographers in the beautiful Christianshavn and its surroundings by evening and night time. The project focuses not only on the amazing scenery and lights, but also on the original details, remarkable atmosphere and the artistic process itself.
Music and Dance as an international language, which all can understand. The project is about how music and dance bring people together. Even when people speak different languages, they can still understand each other through other cultural expressions, like art, music and dance. In this project artists, musicians and dancers from various countries cooperate to express their perception of and love to music and dance, which, we believe, are helping to integrate into each others' cultures.
