Marcelo Ariel Miele

Year and place of birth:
1965, Trelew, Argentina
Artistic background:

I have always loved drawing and painting as methods to express myself, but regarding painting and drawing I’m an autodidact with basic training in different art schools. With reference to my profession, I have an academic degree in multimedia design from the Danish Erhvervsakademiet for Informations- og Kommunikationsteknologi.

So how did you end up in Denmark?

I came to Denmark in 1980 because my parents decided to move to Europe.

Joining the art group:

My friend Rodrigo Mendoza invited me to see the group’s exhibition on the 7th of December 2009 and after hearing about the idea behind the effort, I decided to become a part of NyDanskerKunst. The idea of multiculturalism in modern society has always interested me because I come from a multicultural country and have lived in Denmark for many years. I hope that the work method I was presented to by the group, creating a specific artwork from a shared theme, will give me an interesting personal opportunity to experiment with my own work.

Artistic motto:

I think that what drives my artwork is the idea of trying to communicate my life experiences and their effect on my consciousness through visual display.
