Maybe one day I'll make my own art, but for the time I have a great interest in art in the past, present and future. My studies and work experience are art related: I have a master degree in art history from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Prior to my arrival in Denmark, I have been working in the Israel Museum and the Art Museum of the Holocaust Remembrance Authority ("Yad Vashem") in Jerusalem. My work included handling artwork, historical and art-historical research and descriptive writing. In addition, I took part in organizing exhibitions and giving guided tours.
Love, love, love…couldn't resist the charm of my Danish boyfriend…
Over a period of 10 years, this is the third time I'm finding myself back in Copenhagen. I first came to Denmark in 1999, then again in 2003, and now I've been living here since December 2008.
During my previous stay in DK, I have been working on my dissertation which deals with the portraits that the Nordic painter Peder Severin Krøyer made of his (artist) wife Marie Triepcke.
My initial motivation to join the group was for the sake of networking, since I'm interested in working in the art field while living in DK, in research or any other curatorial duties. Quickly I realized that I'm gaining the opportunity to curate exhibitions, get introduced to art made by people with different origins, meet new people, and in general spend time with people who share the same interest as me.
Art is never boring! It's an endless world of creativity that doesn't leave you neutral!
